Horses, being prey animals, are incredibly intuitive and extremely aware of their environment. They are also non-verbal, which makes them masters at reading body language. Horses are honest yet nonjudgmental. They live in the moment. Being herd animals, they are social creatures with distinct personalities, moods, and attitudes. Horses feel the safest with us when we are regulated and present.
Equine Assisted Learning
EAL is an educational approach to equine-assisted activities. EAL content is developed and organized by credentialed practitioners with the primary intent to facilitate personal growth and development of life skills through equine interactions.
(PATH International, 2015)
Corporate training and team building sessions are equine-guided professional development workshops. Horses challenge us to improve our leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills with not only the horses but with fellow team members.
Stable Moments® is a mentorship program curriculum utilizing equine-assisted learning and community mentors to achieve life skills for children impacted by early developmental trauma.
